A little about me

Hi, I’m Torri — the heart, hands, and flower-obsessed brain behind Big Day – Wedding and Events Hire.

I create high-quality artificial wedding florals that look real, feel special, and photograph like a dream — without the stress (or surprise wilting). Whether it’s a bold ceremony setup or a keepsake bouquet, every piece I make is designed to reflect your style and make your big day feel effortless and beautiful.

I started Big Day to combine two things I love: being a creative florist, and being present for my family. As a mum and a wife, I get how full-on wedding planning can be — so I’ve built a business that gives brides a low-stress way to get stunning florals, without sacrificing on style or control.

How it works

Planning your wedding florals should feel exciting — not stressful.
Here’s how we make it easy and magical from start to finish:

1. Get in touch
Fill out the [contact form] with a few pretty details about your big day — date, location, and your floral dreams.

2. Let's chat
I’ll reach out to confirm availability and chat about what you’re envisioning. We’ll talk styles, colours, and what makes you excited!

3. Quote & Design
You’ll receive a custom quote that includes your personal flowers to purchase and your ceremony/reception florals to hire. Everything is crafted with intention.

4. Wedding Week
The week of your wedding is all about YOU. I only book one wedding per week, so I can focus entirely on your florals. I prep every piece with love, ready for your big moment.

5. Wedding Day Magic
I’ll deliver your bouquets and personal flowers in the morning, then head to your venue to set up your ceremony. After that, I’ll return to move your florals to the reception for a seamless transition.

6. Pack Down
The day after your wedding, I’ll return to collect all the hire florals — so you don’t need to lift a finger.

Frequently asked questions

Are your flowers real?

Nope — all of my designs are made using premium artificial flowers that look and feel incredibly real. I also work with dried and preserved flowers and greenery to bring extra texture and movement to your florals. That means your arrangements won’t wilt or droop, and they’ll photograph beautifully all day long.

Can I keep my bouquet?

Yes! Your bouquet is yours to keep. Same goes for all your personal flowers — like buttonholes or corsages. Everything else is part of the hire collection, which I’ll pack up after the wedding.

Do you deliver?

Absolutely. I hand-deliver your personal flowers and handle the full setup and styling of your ceremony and reception flowers. You don’t need to lift a finger.

Do you do elopements or smaller weddings?

Yes! I love intimate weddings just as much as big ones. I’ll work with you to create a floral setup that fits your celebration perfectly.

Do you travel?

Yes — I’m based in Mackay, but I regularly work across Airlie Beach, Rockhampton, and Yeppoon. If your wedding is outside these areas, just reach out and I’ll see what’s possible.
